steroid cream use
What's the correct amount of time I should be using steroid cream for (Elocon)? My GP said one thing and my dermatologist said another, and I've seen lots of stories online about people becoming addicted to steroid creams and going through withdrawal symptoms. Should I be concerned about Topical Steroid Withdrawal?
Many thanks

Re: steroid cream use
Dear Hollie,
Thank you. Dermatologists do not really think that steroid withdrawal exists. On adult body and limbs (but not face and skin folds) you can use Elocon daily for 3 months. But it is too potent for face and skin folds. It is also too strong for a child.
I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes,
