Severe itching

My dad has been suffering from extreme itching and boils and he was prescribed Prednisone by his dermatologist but as the course finished, his condition has returned. The doctors are now saying it is eczema but we really aren't sure and he is being considered for Metatrexate. I have attached some images and would be very grateful for any help you can offer.

so sorry to hear about your dad skin problems. It looks like severe discoid dermatitis. Ask your GP or dermatologist of Dermovate ointment can be tried on body and Eumovate ointment in skin folds and face. The next line treatment would be UVB in hospital. Methotrexate prescribed by you dermatologist can work well too. I hope this helpful.
