Prostate and Bladder

I have a Prostate and bladder question. I have been told I have an enlarged Prostate and I also have localised Prostate cancer. While this doesn't cause me any urinary problems normally, I find that in some instances, if I have been waiting a long time to urinate, not been able to find a loo., etc. Instead of urine gushing out as I would expect. It just comes out in drips, is there anything that I can do to alleviate this problem. Thank you. (Michael)
