Eczema flare up

Hi I 74 and over the past 18 months have had the worst flare up I have ever had. I e had eczema all my life. I’ve tried all sorts of treatments recently with a little success but still having problems. My dermatologist has suggested immunosuppressant drugs but I am reluctant to take these. Any suggestions and advice will really be welcome.

Re: Eczema flare up

What Causes a Dermatitis Discharge Up? Triggers aren't something similar for everybody, and there might be a slack between the trigger and the side effects. Sweat, textures (fleece, polyester), pet dander, blistering or chilly climate, and cruel cleansers are normal triggers.

Re: Eczema flare up

I get eczema on my hands: it causes my hands to become sore, dry, split and bleed. It is incredibly painful too. But I use Betnovate. It soothes my skin and reduces my eczema. However, it has to be prescribed by a doctor.

Still, Betnovate has done wonders for my skin.
